Several college and amateur soccer teams played indoor soccer this past weekend (23-24 February 2008) at the Winner's Cup sponsored by East Tennessee Soccer Federation and hosted by Milligan College Soccer. The Winner's Cup attracted 19 teams from Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina for 2 days of indoor soccer at the East Tennessee Soccer Complex. Over 230 goals were achieved in the 38 game annual event.

In the Women's bracket, semi finalists East Tennessee State University (Johnson City, TN) and Lindsey Wilson College (Columbia, KY) played four players on each team with Lindsey Wilson winning 5-4 in sudden death victory. Lindsey Wilson Teams I and II advanced to the finals. The teams decided not to play each other in the championship match, which declared both teams the best in the bracket.

In the Men’s bracket, the Bobcats (Banner Elk, NC) were defeated by the Lindsey Wilson College (Columbia, KY) 2-1. Host Milligan College placed 3rd

• Competition is 6v6
• Matches are 24 minutes in length (no half-time)
• 12 players (maximum) are allowed on each roster
• Women play 23 February; Men play 24 February

Licensed & experienced referees will officiate these highly competitive matches.
