Rules and Regulations: Current FIFA rules apply with the following modifications:
Format: 8 v 8 all ages with off sides
Field size: 80 x 40 Goals: 7 x 21
12 players per team, color assigned
2 - 25 min halves with a 5 min half time.
Uniforms/Equipment: Steel or metal cleats are not allowed. No jewelry allowed during games. Shin guards must be worn by all players with socks covering the guard. Each team will be assigned a color t-shirt to wear during games. Each team must be prepared to provide a game ball
Coaches Responsibilities: for their players, assistants and parents conduct. The coach may be penalized for their conduct. Coach all practices and games.
Parent/Coach Responsibilities: for the communication of the team and attendance of all activities of the team, keeping team and spectators away from the sidelines and from behind goals
Officials: 1 Referee will be scheduled by the league and will be the only official time keeper. Decisions of the Referee are final.
Goalkeepers: NO GOALIE contact. Any contact made with the goalkeeper while the ball is in possession will result in: Unintentional-Yellow card, Intentional –Red Card This is the referee decision
A goalie may be substituted at anytime with the consent of the referee. Goalies must wear a different colored shirt. The goalie has 5 seconds to distribute the ball. A goal kick may be taken anywhere within the goal area. If a player intentionally kicks the ball back to his/her own goalie, the goalie may not pick up the ball. The penalty is an indirect free kick from where the goalie touches the ball. If this happens in the goal area the kick is taken from the top of the goal area line.
Slide Tackling: Slide tackling is not allowed, the first offense is a yellow card. Any repeated offense will be a red card and dismissal from the game
Substitutions: Prior to a throw-in in your favor, prior to a goal kick, after a goal, or injury, with the consent of the referee at the half line only
Forfeits: Each team must field at least 6 players. The referee is the only one that can call a forfeit. Teams are asked to arrive 15 mins prior to their game and can only be allowed on the field as a substitution if arriving late
Rainouts: There will be no make up games, in the event it is called off prior to or during a game The parent/coach will be notified as soon as a game day has been called off due to the weather by the league coordinator.
Cautions/Ejections: A player, coach or assistant who has been ejected must (at the referee’s request) leave the entire park. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the game. Each suspension will also carry a minimum suspension of the next scheduled game played. A caution does not have to be given prior to an ejection. A player will be cautioned and shown the yellow card if the ball is intentionally (in the opinion of the referee) carried or kicked away by a player at anytime during the game. If a player stands in front of the ball when a free kick is awarded against his/her team, the player will be cautioned and shown the yellow card. Any player encroaching from the defensive wall will be cautioned and shown a yellow card.
Player Harassment: Anyone guilty of harassing players, taunting or trash talking will be subject to suspension.
