Exclusive ETSF Gift Card Fundraiser

SCRIP is a fund-raising program that requires no door-to-door selling, no candy sales, and no phone-calling those out–of-town relatives to buy ‘stuff’ from your children. On top of that, this fund-raising program does not require any more money from you above what you normally spend! SCRIP is, by far, one of the easiest fundraisers for parents, family, and friends of ETSF.

Who receives the profits? Each player who participates receives the amount of profit for his or her child’s soccer club needs! Read on to see how you can benefit with your normal monthly purchases.

Now is your opportunity to receive 'free' money for your child's soccer fees by using the SCRIP program! This
program is a great way to reduce, even eliminate a player's soccer fees! Invite your family and friends to purchase cards through you! You can always download a current order form at the ETSF website.
As for spending the gift cards on your own shopping needs, think of them as prepaid cards. Think about how often you make any purchases (groceries, eating out, clothing, prescriptions, gas, etc.), and know that you can use a gift card for almost all of your daily, weekly, and monthly purchases! Gift cards are also great presents for coaches, teachers, relatives, office staff, etc.

If your team does not have a Team SCRIP Coordinator, please ask someone to volunteer for this position. It is not a difficult task. The Team SCRIP Coordinator gathers the SCRIP order forms with payments every other Thursday from your team's families. Then, on the alternating Thursdays, they return the gift cards to the families. When cards are delivered, the Team Treasurer ! and/or Manager receives a check which is made out to the team (with a report stating how much each family ordered and how much money they earned in SCRIP profits) to be placed in the Team checking account and applied to the individual player's account. These profits are first used to reduce the monthly fees. If money is left over, a family can use the money for soccer
related purchases, such as hotel fees, etc.

Tips when using SCRIP
Food City
Food City gift cards can be used at their gas stations!!!! Typically, their gas stations are one of the cheaper ones in the area. Food City gives 5% profit on their cards which means if a gallon of gas is $2.25, then you will end up paying $2.13/gallon (not at the pump! , but t hrough the returned profits towards your soccer player's needs)! When you start the pump, press the button that you will pay inside. When you are finished pumping, give your gift card to the clerk at the small, outdoor gas store beside the pumps. If I have money left on the card, I wrap my receipt around the card before placing it back in my wallet or write the amount on the Sharpie, so I know exactly how much I have left on the card.

Land's End
You can use as many gift cards as needed to purchase gifts online.

Dick's Sporting Goods
You can use as many gift cards as needed to purchase gifts online but the gift cards must have a PIN number associated with them. This can be in the form of a strip to scrape off.

Wendy's
Wendy's does not give you cash back for the paper gift certificate if you do not use at least the full face value of the gift certificate.

Ways to use SCRIP

1) GROCERIES - How much money do you spend on groceries each week?

2) RESTAURANTS - How often do you go out to eat on a weekly basis?
3) GAS - We could all use refunds on our gas bill! Remember, Food City allows you to use their gift cards for gasoline purchases - that's a 5% return on your gas bill!
4) GIFTS -

a) Does your school have teacher appreciation week? Slowly start making your purchases for all your children's teachers.
b) Do you want to make buying gifts for your parents, nieces and nephews (especially those hard-to-buy-for teenagers and college students who always love gift cards to buy what they want or need), friends, coaches, pastors, etc. easier? Everyone loves gift cards!

5) CLOTHING FOR YOUR FAMILY - Do you need to slowly start saving up for all those new summer clothes you need to purchase for your family (especially those fast-growing children)?
6) AWAY SOCCER TOURNAMENTS - Slowly start purchasing gift cards for the weekends away from home.

) Do you stay at Marriott hotels? Purchase gift cards for you overnight stays.
b) We all eat out during these away soccer tournaments.
c) We all use gas during this time too!

7) HOME IMPROVEMENTS - Are you making any home improvements? You can order larger dollar amounts on a single card if we have advance notice.
